Annie Potts gets the second "real" cameo, appearing as the clearly disgruntled receptionist at the Mercado Hotel, which becomes the focal point of the supernatural climax. She still greets customers the same way - with a curt "whaddaya want" - suggesting customer service is alive and well in New York in this universe.

She at least shows some awareness of Rowan's evilness though.

The line "whaddaya want" is later repeated as part of Kevin's answer phone message at the end of the film. Apparently there is no limit to his capacity for unemployability, nor of the company's stupidity in continuing to keep him in the job.
