5. The Incredibly Lax Security
Ravenhill Psychiatric Hospital has some of the worst security of any max security prison to ever be seen on-screen. This is incredibly dumb and unintentionally hysterical for a number of reasons, including but not limited to the fact that they're housing literal superheroes, but is made even worse by one of the film's twists.
Perhaps the lax security of Ravenhill Psychiatric could be excused if it really was just an average Hospital that Dr. Ellie Staple just kind of took over to house her own little social experiment and the people working there (Staple included) genuinely didn't believe any of these individuals were superpowered. However, one of the film's big twists reveals that none of this is true.
As is revealed in typically twisty Shyamalan fashion, Staple is part of an organization working to keep superheroes a secret from the world at large by killing all of them before they can be exposed. But for someone who knows these three main characters do genuinely have superpowers, Staple spends a ton of time not at Ravenhill and instead entrusting this job to literally one security guard overnight.
The only reason any of the characters ever escape from Ravenhill is because the security suddenly goes from an ever-present Staple and at least a dozen guards (as it is when they first arrive) to an entirely absent Staple and one guard.
