This year's show was a great one for thoroughly deserving first-time winners, with a number of on-the-rise and long-deserving actors winning Golden Globes.

In terms of younger, rising stars, Rachel Brosnahan scooped a surprise Best Actress - Comedy or Musical win for her show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, while Lady Bird's Saoirse Ronan scooped the same award in the movie category, and Aziz Ansari won a Best Actor - Comedy or Musical award for his stellar work on Master of None.

The more established talent finally getting their Golden Globes due included Alexander SkarsgÄrd (Best Supporting Actor - Big Little Lies), Ewan McGregor (Best Actor - Fargo) and Allison Janney (Best Supporting Actress - I, Tonya). How can you argue with any of those long-earned wins?
