4. The Green Lantern Suit
And also say what you will about the movie's interpretation of the Green Lantern suit, but it's actual depiction on the screen was spot-on. The Green Lantern ring creates an aura that protects its bearer, and underneath that aura it creates a suit that custom-fits the hero beneath. This suit, as depicted in the 2011 film, was a living extension of Hal Jordan, and this is exactly what it was supposed to represent. Detractors will complain that the suit was too flashy, odd looking, or just off-putting; these things were said mostly due to the fact that it did not represent the classic Hal Jordan look from the comics, sans the white gloves and overall solid colors, and the fact that it glowed. But it's supposed to glow, and the producers of the film did a great job crafting Hal's Lantern look, despite the fact that it was almost entirely revamped against what's been presented in the pages of the comic books. Also of note is Hal's mask, and that it knows when to generate itself on his face, an example again of Hal Jordan's consciousness being represented by the ring and how it is connected to its wearer.
