6. Groot And Rocket Raccoon
Marvel StudiosSeriously, it's hard to over-stress how relieving it is that both Rocket Raccoon and Groot have been done justice on film. As both unlikely and iconic characters that would have to be done almost entirely in CGI, there were concerns that it would look out of place with the other more humanoid members of the team. Thankfully, it doesn't and the pair are awesome from the word go. Cooper's Rocket voice isn't the typical snarky Bradley Cooper character we're all used to and what he does with the dialogue is tremendous. As the loudest member of the team, Rocket will probably get the most laughs throughout the movie and interestingly enough, he seemed to function as the team leader during the Guardians' flight from the Kyln. Rocket's closest buddy Groot is brought to life by the distinctive vocal tones of Vin Diesel and despite there being only so many ways you can say 'I AM GROOT,' it works. He manages to be crazy adorable and incredibly fierce all at the same time. Watching them team up during the action sequence at the end of the preview was a highlight and there's never been such chemistry between CGI characters and their human counterparts before. We're hereby formally declaring that all the parents out there should make sure their finances are reinforced before the film comes out because all your kids will want Rocket and Groot toys.
