This was one of the scenes shown in the trailer that fans absolutely could not wait to see the full version of in the finished film and it certainly didn't disappoint.

In a move that single-handedly wiped out whatever small scrap of subtlety that remained in regards to Peter's romantic feelings for Gamora, series newcomer Mantis used her empath powers to make these feelings known to all. Drax breaking the awkward silence with boisterous laughter and only making the whole situation even more uncomfortable by loudly pointing out the obvious is funny enough, but it doesn't stop there.

Peter's utter lack of an idea as to what to do is also incredibly amusing. Moreover, Mantis then uses her powers on Drax, and joins him in the loud laughter as a result, which certainly didn't help with Peter's confidence either. Finally, Mantis walks over to try and bring Gamora into the fun, only to be threatened with having her jaw broken.
