Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2: Predicting Who Lives & Who Dies
5. Yondu
Fate: A Strong Possibility Of Death
Why?
Because he's the only father that really matters to Star-Lord. He brought him up, he taught him everything he knows and everything that now defines him and he didn't abandon him. Okay, so he also stole him from his family on Earth, but Peter Quill has lived by a sort of pirate code for the majority of his life, and it wouldn't at all be surprising by the end of the sequel to see him recognise Yondu as his real father.
You know, just as he's emotionally killed off after changing sides to help save his "son" and his friends while also battling the rebellious Ravagers seeking his own scalp. It would be the kind of emotional punch to rival Groot's sacrifice in the first film (and also the death of Peter's mother), and we should definitely expect those sorts of punches in the sequel.
