Harrison Ford now has one movie lined up before he is set to start shooting
Indiana Jones IV. Beginning on April 11th, production on
Crossing Over will commence in Los Angeles. Directed by
Wayne Kramer, the movie is an ensemble drama that looks at immigration and focuses on what lengths people will go to, to get into the U.S.
Ray Liotta is also on board and
Sean Penn has also signed up to the movie for a small role that will take three days to shoot.
Ford plays an enforcement agent who stages raids designed to corral illegals, while Liotta plays a USCIS district adjudicator, a bureaucrat dealing with the problems of illegals.
Penn's role is as a border patrol agent.
Variety say more big names are expected to be attached to the flick. Crossing Over will use the popular narrative structure of jumping back and fourth between different perspectives which all somehow relate to each other. It's been seven years since I've seen a Harrison Ford movie and although a plot about immigration doesn't sound all too appealing, if they add more cast members the stature of who they have already signed up.... then I might become interested. source -
