Harry Potter: 5 Slytherins Who Were Heroes Not Villains

The Cursed Child gets a lot of hate from fans, and this is understandable. Despite the stunning production values, the narrative is littered with plot holes, inconsistencies, and odd character decisions.

Fortunately, most fans agree Scorpius Malfoy is the highlight of this bizarre story. Unlike his father, Scorpius has a very sweet disposition. His relationship with Albus Potter (who’s also in Slytherin) is easily the best part of The Cursed Child.

Following one of their many adventures through time, Scorpius returns to the present and finds a dystopian world ruled by Voldemort. At this point, Scorpius becomes the focus of the story, and with the help of Severus Snape, he manages to return the timeline to its original state.

As ludicrous as this may sound in terms of plot, this section of The Cursed Child is the most enjoyable purely because Scorpius is in the limelight. His caring nature and his desire to bring the world back to normal makes him an easy character to root for.

It’s hard to believe Scorpius was sorted into Slytherin in the first place. Aside from his pure-blood ancestry, he doesn’t fit the typical mould of other students in his house at all.
