Harry Potter: Ranking Every Major Magical Family From Worst To Best

The Weasleys were always going to take the top spot. They’re simply the most consistently entertaining family in the wizarding world. Arthur, Molly, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny are all distinctive individuals with their own unique personas and quirks.

Ron – as Harry’s best friend – is the most prominent of the Weasleys, and his sense of humour is one of the most enjoyable parts of the series. Whilst he doesn’t have a particularly large arc, he does tackle a number of character-building challenges alongside Harry and Hermione.

What’s more, there are members of the Weasley family who do undergo significant changes. Ginny, for instance, morphs from a timid girl into a bold woman. And Percy has a fascinating story as well. Despite starting out as a model child, he neglects his family following Voldemort’s return before later redeeming himself during the Battle of Hogwarts.

Mr and Mrs Weasley also deserve a mention. Their dialogue and their chemistry never fail to be amusing. And it’s hardly surprising that many of their children (particularly Ron and the twins) also possess a great sense of humour.

Simply put, the Weasleys aren’t just the best family in the Harry Potter series, they’re one of the best families in all of fiction.
