Henry Cavill Back As Superman: 10 Predictions For His DCEU Future

5. Zack Snyder's Justice League

When Zack Snyder hosted his watch party for Man of Steel, Henry Cavill showed up as a surprise guest, and was present when Zack Snyder's Justice League was announced for HBO Max. That immediately led to speculation about his future as Superman, and common sense says that if he is formulating a deal to return to the DCEU, he could end up shooting scenes for this version of Justice League.

It has been reported that there are no plans for reshoots, but certain moments will need to be completed, even if it's in a studio with a green screen. Joss Whedon reshot almost every single one of Superman's scenes for his movie, and barely used any of Snyder's work, so it's possible the filmmaker hadn't finished shooting all of Cavill's scenes as the Man of Steel.

Whatever the case may be, it would make sense for at least one additional scene to be filmed, especially as Justice League: Part Two isn't happening, and something will likely need to be done to establish the character's place in the DCEU moving forward (originally, he was going to fall under Darkseid's control in that sequel and become the Superman seen in the Knightmare vision).
