Henry Cavill Back As Superman: 10 Predictions For His DCEU Future

2. Superman Vs. The Suicide Squad

The Suicide Squad has finished shooting, but reshoots are unlikely to have taken place, and there's plenty of time to throw Superman into the mix before next August. The Man of Steel is unlikely to be a member of Task Force X, but just like Bruce Wayne in 2016's Suicide Squad, it's not that difficult to imagine Clark Kent taking Amanda Waller to task for assembling this group of villains.

Once upon a time, there were rumblings that a Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad movie could be under consideration at Warner Bros., and a Superman appearance near the end of James Gunn's film could easily set the stage for a crossover like that...or for the hero to become the team's next target!

A Superman movie was offered to Gunn before he decided to helm The Suicide Squad, so he could use a cameo appearance to set the stage for that. Even though the filmmaker has Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be up next for him, a Superman movie could follow that, as could another Suicide Squad film which sees Supes on the run from an entire team of bad guys. How cool would that be?
