Home Alone 1 And 2: 20 Easter Eggs, References & In-Jokes

19. The Wet Bandits€™ Van Has A Lethal In-Joke

In the first movie, when Harry and Marv stalk Kevin's eerily deserted neighbourhood in their plumbing van, the sign on the side is an easter egg for anyone paying attention. While Joe Pesci had plenty of acclaimed performances to his name before Home Alone, he was probably best known as Leo Getz from Lethal Weapon 2. Leo€™s endearingly annoying catchphrase was €œOkay, okay, okay...€, which explains the name of Harry and Marv€™s plumbing company: €œOh-Kay Plumbing.€ The Wet Bandits aren€™t above a tongue in cheek joke themselves, with their slogan being €œYour flood control experts.€ Seeing how they flood the houses of the people they rob, the irony is lost on no-one.
