20 Horror Franchises That NEED To Come Back

13. Creepshow

Horror fans of a certain age will have a sure nostalgic fondness for the original two 1980s Creepshow movies - a duo of horror-comedy anthologies from the dream pairing of George A. Romero and Stephen King.

Both films were commercially successful, and yet Creepshow 3 was released almost 20 years after the second film and, without the involvement of Romero or King, ended up being dumped straight-to-DVD where it was thoroughly panned.

The series then went largely dormant until 2019 when Creepshow returned as a TV series for streaming service Shudder, which while incredibly hit-and-miss quality-wise enjoyed a four-season run ending in 2023.

But Creepshow as a brand is so fun and distinctly campy that it seems a waste to just end it there.

Whether another streamer picks up the rights to the TV show or we get a big, splashy theatrical reboot, Creepshow deserves better than to just fade into obscurity.
