20 Horror Movies You Should Watch Totally BLIND

Patrick Brice's Creep is a film that's so, so much more effective when you treat it like a dusty videotape you randomly found on the side of the road. 

Brice stars as a videographer who answers an ad to record content for a strange client (Mark Duplass), only to become increasingly unnerved by said client's "peculiar" behaviour.

The masterfully deployed tension inherent in Creep lies in never knowing precisely how far the filmmakers are going to take the devastatingly awkward interactions between the two central characters, and what the client's true intentions actually are.

In its best moments, Creep feels like we're watching something we're not supposed to see - an uncommonly grounded genre offering that seems so nerve-wrackingly believable.

Hopefully it's not too much of a spoiler to say that a sequel was released in 2017, and a spin-off TV series, The Creep Tapes, began airing in 2024, while Creep 3 is also currently in development.
