20 Upcoming Movies That Have Already WON

Expectations are certainly high for Godzilla Minus Zero, after predecessor Godzilla Minus One swiftly cemented itself as one of the greatest Godzilla films of all time.

But filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki seems to absolutely be doing all the right things so far in order to deliver a bigger, more ambitious, and perhaps even somehow better sequel.

In addition to bringing back most of the surviving ensemble from the first film, Godzilla Minus Zero will expand its scope far beyond that of the original.

Though the sequel picks up two years later and follows the Shikishima family in Japan once again, the film's teaser trailer shows Godzilla walking past the Statue of Liberty, confirming some sort of international element this time around.

In addition to this, it will be the first Japanese production filmed for IMAX, and between the synopsis hinting at a new kaiju and one of the posters showing off a yellow-tinted sky, many are convinced that fan favourite villain King Ghidorah will appear.

All of this is tremendously exciting of course, and if Yamazaki can once again balance jaw-dropping mayhem with emotionally engaging character work, this should be another all-timer monster movie.
