In 1945 the Nazi's went to the moon... in 2018 they are coming back!

Totally out there but pretty awesome trailer for the upcoming Finnish comedy/thriller CGI fest Iron Sky!

One thing I've wanted to do for a while on Obsessed With Film is talk a little more about foreign movies, specifically showing trailers to features that look way cooler than some of the stuff Hollywood is producing right now.

I don't believe I've ever spoken about an upcoming Finnish movie for example but this one looks like incredibly geeky fun. It's called Iron Sky and it's being billed as an action/comedy and revolves around the "leave your head at home" plot that in 1945, the Nazi's who were on the brink of losing WW-II sent their brightest men to secure a secret base on the moon where they could reform - breed - and build a powerful military technology base to establish their return. In 2018, that time came. And the result is this CGI motion capture movie which for 2/3rd's of the trailer just looks so beautiful... The music is strange but wow. I love it. I was kinda thinking this should be how Halo should be shot and filmed. It's the second film from the guys behind Star Wreck - billed as the most popular Finnish movie of all time and the most popular Internet only feature. They find people to work for their movies via the innovative way of collobrating with artists all over the world via the Wreck A Movie website, where volunteers will work on the picture for free for the benefit of their CV and the experience factor. The movie is filmed in English at a budget of $5 million. No word on how it will be distributed - probably on DVD and Internet only. source - twitch, aicn
