Jason Bourne: 10 Reasons It's A Huge Disappointment

6. Alicia Vikander's Terrible Performance

Perhaps the most surprising thing about the movie is that recent Oscar winner Alicia Vikander gives a stunningly dull, soporific performance as head of the CIA Cyber Ops Division Heather Lee.

One can certainly try to argue that Vikander intentionally played the part as stoic and emotionless, but her singular facial expression and droning, grating voice just made her incredibly boring to watch, especially given how much exposition she's forced to spit out.

Only in the film's final moments does she get to do much of interest, but even that's down to the script more than her performance, which is absolutely not what you would expect from someone possessing her talents. Given how much of the part falls flat, it's surprising she was attracted to this one, unless she simply considered it an easy paycheck.
