Jennifer Lawrence In Talks For The Glass Castle

New York Times bestseller focuses on gossip columnist Jeanette Walls' difficult childhood with her “dysfunctional but vibrant” family.

Jennifer Lawrence is currently in talks to star in an adaptation of gossip columnist Jeanette Walls€™ 2005 bestselling book €œGlass Castle: A Memoir€ for "The Hunger Games'" studio Lionsgate. The 21-year-old Oscar nominated actress is in an enviable position in Hollywood. Leading one franchise, "The Hunger Games", and co-starring in another, the "X-Men First Class" sequel, and with horror "The House at the End of the Street" and comedy "The Silver Linings Playbook" also on the horizon, it is more than likely that she currently has her pick of projects. But Deadline have announced that Lionsgate, in a move most likely to ensure they keep Lawrence close to their chests, have acquired the rights to "Glass Castle" with the view for Lawrence to star. The book, which was on the New York Times€™ bestseller list for a record 261 weeks for a memoir, focuses on Collins€™ difficult childhood with her €œdysfunctional but vibrant€ family. The film is to be scripted by "Buffy The Vampire Slayer scribe Marti Noxon", but there is currently no word on who will take the director€™s chair. Lawrence is currently shooting depression drama "Serena" for Susanne Bier, due for release next year, and will next be seen in "The House at the End of the Street", due for release on 21st September.
