John Wick 4: Everything We Know So Far

Considering the steep box office increases each film has seen – with Chapter 3 opening to $57 million in North America, eclipsing the $30.4 million Chapter 2 opened to and being only $30 million short of the original John Wick’s entire worldwide gross – it’s unlikely that we’ll see this franchise come to a halt any time soon.

Reeves himself has said that he “as far as [his] legs can take [him],” and “as far as the audience wants to go.”

Considering many expected Chapter 3 to round out a complete trilogy, its open-endedness has instead opened paths for sequel after sequel. Unless Chapter 4 takes a massive box office hit or is somehow a critical failure, which judging by the patterns set by the first three films seems unlikely, don’t expect an announcement that Chapter 4 will close the series as a tetralogy.
