Jurassic Park 4: 5 Potential Results Of Hiring Colin Trevorrow

2. A Lot of Chefs

Jurassic Park When David Fincher was hired for his first big project, he was used to only shooting commercials rather than big budget studio fare. Producers of the said film thought he was a great young talent and that the franchise he was being hired for was well established and built on the backs of novices. They also thought the young director would be a bit easy to command and strong arm. This film I€™m referring to is Alien 3. We all know the mixed and controversial reactions to that film when it was initially released in 1992. Fincher complained about studio interference and has ultimately turned a blind eye toward the movie due to his horrible experience making the project. While I sincerely hope this does not happen with JPIV, the common perception behind hiring a relatively young and inexperienced film director does lead to the perception that those above are trying to influence or strong arm the direction of the film. Fincher likes a certain amount of creative control and freedom, which caused many clashes with Fox execs. Let€™s hope this is not the case with JPIV €“ we don€™t need many chefs with no cooks.
