Justice League: 10 Biggest Questions It Leaves Unanswered
5. What Is The Post-Credits Scene Setting Up?
Focused on Lex Luthor breaking out of jail and promising to form his own super-villain league in response to Batman getting together the JLA, the post-credit sequence for the latest film reveals that the criminal mastermind's first recruit is none other than the potential main villain of Matt Reeves' Batman solo outing, Deathstroke.
The thing is, it's unclear which movie this post-credit scene is exactly setting up. The idea of a team of super-villains obviously teases a sequel to Justice League, but the last fans heard, Deathstroke was supposed to be included in the upcoming solo Batman movie. With that flick being completely retooled, it's unclear if the villain is still going to be a major focus there, or if he's been moved over to the next Justice League flick.
A post-credit scene is supposed to pose more questions than it answers, but setting up a plot point as big as this while the plans for the DCEU as a whole are so up in the air seems misjudged, and it will be interesting to see whether this stinger is followed through on or not in future projects.
