Justice League: 10 Insane Fan Theories You Need To See

3. It's Revealed That Aquaman Saved Clark In Man Of Steel

Remember one of Man Of Steel's opening scenes, featuring a pre-spandex Clark Kent rescuing the workers of a doomed oil rig? Remember how he fell in the water, and was knocked unconscious?

And do you also remember how the movie never showed him getting safely to shore? In one scene he's floating in the water by the oil rig, then we cut to a flashback, then when it cuts back to older Clark, he's still floating in the water - but this time, there are a pair of whales lingering overhead.

This theory was actually said to be true back in 2014, after TheWrap's Jeff Sneider mentioned it on an episode of Meet The Movie Press, but since it's never been directly confirmed in any official capacity (or by any of the movies) it's still in theory territory.

Anyhow, those whales were apparently sent by Aquaman to rescue Clark and push him closer to the surface, and to safety. And, since the two characters are set to come face to face in Justice League, fans have brought up the idea that this time, the theory will actually be confirmed.

Maybe it's quickly mentioned by Aquaman, or perhaps Superman brings up the whales, but if this does turn out to be true, expectt it to be a brief, throwaway line that's easy to miss.
