Justice League: 10 Questions None Of The Trailers Have Answered
2. What Does Chernobyl Have To Do With Justice League?
Since the release of Justice League's debut trailer, fans have insisted they spotted evidence of a scene set in Chernobyl, the Ukrainian city which partially became an irradiated ghost town following an explosion at a nuclear power plant.
Such claims have since been verified by set photos clearly depicting Pripyat's infamously deserted amusement park, complete with its lonely big wheel, but exactly what Chernobyl has to do with Justice League is a mystery.
The Ukraine-set scene appears to play out beneath a red sky, which has led fans to speculate that the final battle takes place there, though why the heroes would be forced to battle Steppenwolf in this specific location is unclear.
Perhaps a Boom Tube linking Earth to Apokalypse is located in Chernobyl, or maybe it was where the New Gods' original battle with the forces of Earth took place?
Some fans have even speculated that Darkseid and his minions were responsible for the Chernobyl Disaster in the DC universe. For what reason, who knows?
