Justice League: 10 Reasons Christopher Nolan And Christian Bale Should Do It

5. It Gives Them The Most Solid Foundation Possible

the-dark-knight-rises-600x300 What€™s the primary thing everybody mentions when comparing WB€™s attempts to do Justice League to The Avengers? €œThey€™re not building the world properly. They need to do solo franchises first.€ The fact is that none of The Avengers€™ solo franchises grossed anywhere near as much as Avengers did €“ there must have been plenty of people who saw Avengers who never saw the previous Marvel movies -- but I€™d argue it€™s also fair to speculate that even if audiences hadn€™t seen those previous movies, they knew they existed. They knew that Disney and Marvel were doing something exciting and original €“ a €œteam up€, a €œcrossover€, getting all these big franchises in the same room together. A Justice League movie €“ and to a lesser extent a World€™s Finest movie €“ has been plagued by the fact that the writers/director would have to be introducing the world to new versions of these characters, and specifically to a new version of Batman, almost immediately after the one that grossed over two billion dollars worldwide. Over a billion dollars worldwide gross on not just one, but two solo films. That's a solid base. If WB could get their act together and actually get solo franchises going for Flash, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern that were worth a damn, I'd argue that a good Justice League movie would have at least a fighting chance of surpassing Avengers' record breaking grosses. Even without those other characters, a World's Finest movie -- a simple team-up between Superman and Batman -- could have the potential to outgross (and be better than) The Avengers, because
