Justice League: 10 Ways Zack Snyder's Cut Could Set Up A New DCEU
6. Superman's Story Continues In Man Of Steel 2
Henry Cavill is in talks with Warner Bros. to take on supporting/cameo roles in a number of upcoming DCEU movies, though there's no word on a standalone movie for his Superman. That seems like a major blunder on Warner Bros.' part, but now Snyder is coming back to this shared world for Justice League, it's entirely feasible that he could step back behind the camera for a Man of Steel sequel.
Once again, this largely hinges on how well-received Justice League is, but there was a lot to love about that first Man of Steel movie, and Snyder could do great things with the character providing he has a strong script to work from. That will be key here, but Superman's return to cinemas is long overdue.
There's a very vocal fanbase that wants a Man of Steel 2, so this would be the right move on Warner Bros.' part. It seems crazy that Warner Bros. would bring Snyder back just to finish Justice League (spending upwards of $30 million to do so) and then give him the boot, and continuing this version of Superman's story - picking up after his resurrection in a standalone story - could lead to a major hit.
