Justice League: 10 Ways Zack Snyder's Cut Could Set Up A New DCEU
7. Batman Vs. Deathstroke
It's looking like Ben Affleck is 100% finished as Batman, hence why Robert Pattinson is playing the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves' standalone The Batman and Michael Keaton is in talks to reprise the role in The Flash. However, there are already rumours doing the rounds that should Justice League be well-received, Affleck will consider donning the cape and cowl one final time on HBO Max.
Joss Whedon reshot Justice League's post-credits scene, with the conversation between Lex Luthor and Deathstroke no longer revolving around the Superman villain sending the assassin after Batman in a bid for revenge after he was sent to Arkham Asylum. Instead, Whedon set the stage for the Legion of Doom to assemble down the line, but Snyder is bound to return that stinger to its original form.
It seems pointless teasing Batman vs. Deathstroke if it's not going to happen, but with multiple versions of the Dark Knight now gracing the screen, there's no reason at all to think Snyder couldn't step behind the camera and team up with Affleck (who has only ever praised him) for this series/film.
