Justice League: 10 Ways Zack Snyder's Cut Could Set Up A New DCEU
4. Flashpoint
Despite not being as cohesive as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's beginning to feel like Warner Bros. has some sort of plan in place for the DC Extended Universe. The Flash will introduce the concept of the DC Multiverse, while also writing Ben Affleck's version of Batman out of this shared world and replacing him with Michael Keaton's from the classic Batman and Batman Returns.
It's been confirmed by Snyder that the Flash travels back in time in Justice League to save the team when things start going wrong during the final battle. That obviously introduces the concept to fans, and the Flashpoint movie could easily pick up on that plot thread, thereby making this cut "canon."
2017's Justice League would be forgotten about, and Snyder's film would help shape the DCEU moving forward regardless of whether he takes an active role in that. It only makes sense for The Flash to reference the Fastest Man Alive's previous trip back in time, and this cohesiveness will be a step in the right direction for this shared world, especially after some serious mistakes in the past.
