Justice League: 10 Ways Zack Snyder's Cut Could Set Up A New DCEU

3. The DCEU Is No Longer MCU-Lite

Shazam! was a lot of fun, but felt like a pale imitation of the sort of stories fans are used to seeing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, meanwhile, was basically a Deadpool rip off, and it's clear that Warner Bros. is back to attempting to find the recipe for success Marvel Studios has found. Honestly, that's not the best approach, but Snyder's return could help change that.

His vision didn't necessarily resonate with a lot of moviegoers, but a combination of his vision and the lighter tone of movies like Aquaman and Wonder Woman 1984 might just be the required recipe to success. Embracing Snyder's ideas for the next era of DCEU movies will give it a distinct tone, and one that is unlike any other franchise out there (and a far cry from being a wannabe MCU).

Upcoming features like Black Adam and The New Gods would certainly benefit from embracing Snyder's ideas instead of what we see from Marvel Studios, and even if his stories are set in their own world on HBO Max or via standalone movies, Warner Bros. would be wise to embrace his vision (again).
