Justice League: 10 Ways Zack Snyder's Cut Could Set Up A New DCEU

For reasons which remain unclear, Joss Whedon completely cut Darkseid from his version of Justice League. The spotlight was instead put solely on Steppenwolf, but that's going to change in Snyder's cut of the movie, with the iconic comic book villain set to come face to face with the team of heroes.

It's been reported that Darkseid will be a big part of Ava DuVernay's eventual New Gods movie, and it's hard to imagine that making use of the character and it not somehow tying into what happens in Justice League. By bringing Darkseid back - even if he doesn't get the chance to tell another story featuring the villain - Snyder could set the stage for any number of stories in the DCEU.

Whether it's The New Gods, Darkseid appearing in Green Lantern, or him clashing with a future iteration of the Justice League, Snyder being given the chance to introduce moviegoers to this character is definitely going to be a game-changer for the DCEU and could shape a number of upcoming stories.
