Justice League: 18 Easter Eggs & References We Already Know

18. The Horse

The second trailer opened with some shots of Bruce Wayne atop a mighty dark steed on the hills above Arthur Curry's Amnesty Bay, and of course this isn't the first time we've seen Batman on a horse. Or even a black one.

He of course took to the saddle of a black mare in one of The Dark Knight Returns' most iconic images...

And in terms of his cinematic background, we almost got to see one horse-back chase scene in Batman 1989 as part of the Robin sequence that was ultimately chopped out. Luckily the story board survived to show what we could have won.

At least Justice League draws the line at having Bruce in full Batman regalia on horseback...
