Justice League: 8 Big Changes It Will Bring To The DCEU

As well as becoming a bigger place, the DC Extended Universe will also become a busier place when Justice League lands thanks to the introduction of a new master race and some rather significant MacGuffins.

Positioning Steppenwolf as the main villain adds cosmic elements to the DCU and paves the way for sequences set on the planets of New Genesis and Apokolips, twin worlds inhabited by a powerful alien race.

One of them is a paradise, while the other is an absolute hellhole - and you can probably guess from them name which is which.

Naturally, Steppenwolf hails from the no-so-nice planet, and he's heading to Earth in search of the Mother Boxes, sentient supercomputers created by the New Gods.

There's little the Mother Boxes can't do, from dimensional manipulation to gravity control - they probably whip up a mean batch of margaritas too, so who can blame Steppenwolf for wanting to get his paws on them?

Of the three earthbound Mother Boxes, one is in the possession of the Amazons, the other is with the Atlanteans and the third is integrated into Cyborg.

Expect this advanced alien technology and the race which created it to leave a lasting impression on the DCEU.
