5. The Speed Force

Aside from Superman, The Flash has been my favorite hero since I was a young lad. As far the the under appreciated guys go, Flash is at the top of the list. He's fun, quirky, witty, and very under used. When you think hero with super speed you think The Flash and that's it. Who's Marvel got? Quicksilver? I'm sorry, who? If done well, the Flash could easily join the ranks of the upper classmen, but has never been given the opportunity. This film is that opportunity. The speed force is where the Flash derives his powers and allows him to run faster than the speed of light. If the team is up against a villain who thinks he's got it in the bag, one of the greatest unexpected turns could be when the Flash gets in touch with the speed force. Justice League Unlimited touched on it briefly but the Flash was never fully allowed to be possessed by it, to tap into it's full potential. With it, he's essentially able to be in multiple places at once, making his ability to save the world a lot simpler. The Flash is faster than Superman. All this arguing about yes, no , maybe, forget it. If the Flash can do one thing you'd better believe he does it better than anyone else, and that's run fast. He's not necessarily a heavy hitter, the smartest of the bunch, or the most well versed in combat, but none of that matters when you're able to vibrate through solid objects and run faster than the speed of light. We want to see the under dog heroes get in touch with what makes them incredible and the speed force comes near the top of the list at what would rock the audiences world. The effects, the fun the filmmakers could have with it, and what it would do for the Flash as a stand alone character is vital. This is the character who people are going to want to see a film for following the (fingers crossed) success of Justice League.
