6. Batman's Weakness Is Love
So, everyone has a weakness. For Superman, it's kryptonite; the Martian Manhunter has fire; Aquaman has... not water. Given that Batman is not an alien, but a regular person with a lot of money and unparalleled martial arts training, one might logically be wondering what his krypronite would be. The answer to that question is revealed in a key scene around the mid-point of the film, when the supercomputer that Bruce Wayne had built, but which had since gone rogue, reveals that it has a file on Batman himself. He's naturally curious what it contains, particularly considering the owners of the other files seem to have been getting attacked, and finds that his own weakness is nothing other than
love *gasp*. Of course, while that scene plays out rather ridiculously (imagine a supercomputer telling
you it's deduced the best way to kill you is with love), the actual idea is rather sound. Batman is famously shut off from the outside world emotionally, as he needs to be to beat up criminals on a nightly basis. Other people are a weakness in the armor, which is why the Dark Knight must wear a mask in the first place. In this instance, a kiss from Talia al Ghul allows Maxwell Lord to implant a tracking device in Bruce Wayne to get access to his supercomputer itself. This reveals the plan has been in place far longer than otherwise expected, and requires foreknowledge that Batman will fall for Talia, but let's not quibble over trivia. It's true to character, ridiculous as it sounds.
