5. Hamburgers Can Turn People Into Robots

This is almost certainly the strangest plot twist in the film. Maxwell Lord, the main villain of the film, has a successful fast-food chain Planet Krypton, with evidently "over a million served". What are they being served? Nanobots which turn them into full-fledged robotic monsters, for no reason! I understand the concept of comic-book science, and I don't expect it all to check out. But let me ask you this - for this plan to work, the nanobots have to be really small, right? Otherwise, somebody would notice they're eating robot parts. At a moment's notice, however, the nanobots somehow become a larger than human robot, while simultaneously controlling their host. What's more, the actual human inside is completely unharmed, just held helpless, yet safe, inside. For all of his talk about an improved humanity, all he's done is turn everyone into a mind-controlled Iron Man. And while the superheroes mention a couple of times the need to be careful about handling the OMACs, as they're called, really at least a few are just eaten or drowned by Aquaman's whales, while others are crushed or otherwise destroyed before the rest can be freed. But then, again, murder isn't really a problem for this Justice League (or, it only is occasionally, as we'll see). The key to comic-book logic is that it doesn't really have to make sense, it just has to feel like it does. This, I submit, doesn't cut it.
