Unlike Marvel Studios, DC isn't apt at claiming release dates years in advance, so at this point in time we have no idea when we might get this Justice League movie. The WSJ article claimed we wouldn't see it before 2018, but shortly after that hit the web, some rumors started coming out of the woodwork. Latino Review claims that their sources are saying we could see Justice League on May 5th, 2017 (meaning Snyder would be filming it back-to-back with Batman Vs. Superman). That's a bit earlier than the original report suggested, but it would certainly make sense. That opening weekend in May is the most sought-after release date of the entire blockbuster season, as witnessed by the current DC/Marvel showdown over May 6th, 2016. This would also place Justice League a year before the probable release date of Avengers 3, which would mean that DC wouldn't have to compete with Marvel Studios's third super-sized team-up that summer. It is worth noting that if DC does claim that 2017 May date, that would put them up against yet another "Unannounced Marvel Movie," though Marvel would be absolutely crazy not to move if Justice League invades their turf.
