Justice League Snyder Cut: 10 Major New Details You Need To Know

8. It Will Premiere On HBO Max

HBO Max is a new streaming service which launches in the US later this month. Boasting a number of original TV shows (DC properties like Green Lantern and Justice League Dark will be among them) and beloved classics, it's Warner Bros.' version of Disney+, and it's there that Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere on an undetermined date in 2021.

That's a clever way of boosting subscriber numbers, but somewhat surprising. This means it won't be put up for sale on VOD/Digital platforms, and likely rules out a physical release on DVD and Blu-ray.

It's also unclear what this means for fans who don't live in the US; there are currently no plans to bring HBO Max to the UK, for example, as HBO has a long-standing deal with Sky for its TV shows. Warner Bros. could potentially sell the film to another streaming platform internationally, of course, and that would be a clever way to recoup some money.

This likely means that a theatrical release of any sort can also be ruled out for the movie.
