Justice League Snyder Cut: 10 Reasons It Could Be A TERRIBLE Idea

7. It Never Technically Existed In The First Place

From all of the online discourse surrounding the Snyder Cut of Justice League, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Warner Bros. had the alternate version of the movie locked and ready to go, and kept it hidden away somewhere in a top secret vault to be used only in emergencies.

If that was the case, then we wouldn't have to wait until next year to see it, when one of cinema's most famous unrealized projects would have made an ever bigger splash and brought in huge subscriber numbers had it been announced as part of the day-one lineup for when HBO Max goes live next week.

In fact, the official announcement of the Snyder Cut only confirms that it never technically existed, with two years of constant bombardment by fans on social media all relating to what barely even amounts to an assembly cut.

The vague 2021 release date indicates that there's a whole lot of work still to be done that could involve shooting inserts or entirely new scenes, re-recording dialogue, creating visual effects and music, then editing the thing together.

It's a far cry from the idea some folks had in their heads; that the studio would simply make the announcement, then unleash the fully completed Snyder Cut as a secret weapon they'd been sitting on the entire time.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
