Justice League: The Snyder Cut - What The Cast And Crew Have Said About It

3. Junkie XL: "The Full Score Is Still There"

After working with Snyder on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, composer Junkie XL reunited with the director to create the music for Justice League.

However - as was the case with Wagner - Junkie XL (real name Thomas Holkenborg) wasn't brought back for Whedon's reshoots, and instead, he was replaced by Danny Elfman, whose music can be heard in the theatrical cut.

Interestingly though, Holkenborg still got to make tons of music for Snyder's version of the film. In fact, in October 2019, he even confirmed that his score for the Snyder Cut is 100% finished, and that plenty of full tracks exist.

Holkenborg revealed this information in a chat with Screen Rant, after the interviewer asked him about the Snyder Cut's music:

"The full score is still there. It's a really great score, and it's just there. It never goes away. We'll see what happens in the future, you know?"

On the other hand, Elfman is slightly less optimistic about the state of the Snyder Cut.

The composer told JOE that Snyder "never finished" Justice League after stepping away to deal with his personal tragedy, and overall, he seems quite confused about why people are constantly clamouring for the Snyder Cut to be released.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
