After the dourness of the DCEU so far, it was clear that they needed a bit of a change of pace and tone, with one particular edict that the movies would be a fair bit lighter, and have some real moments of comedy.

The trailer doesn't go too far in that direction, which is probably a good thing (this movie needs a lot more than just comedy, after all), but it does hit a few nice, humorous beats, especially in the way the young, lighthearted Barry Allen plays off the gruff and experienced Bruce Wayne (though Aquaman's "Dressed like a bat... I dig it" line is pretty great too).

These moments are genuinely funny, and best of all feel completely natural to their placement and the characters. With those making the film knowing changes were required, though, it makes you wonder just how much of this is going to be in the film? Have we seen the best lines? Or could they go too far the other way?
