5. Hickey Trapped
Bacon almost always brings the goods when it comes to playing villains, with one of the notable exceptions being his turn in lame thriller Trapped. Here he plays a man who kidnaps the daughter of a rich doctor, which at first appears to be about the money until his personal motives come to light. Trapped had a good cast and an interesting premise, which are both wasted in the by the numbers execution. Charlize Theron manages to come out of it with some dignity, but Bacon is just way too hammy pun absolutely intended as the main kidnapper, so while it looks like hes having fun his performance quickly becomes really annoying. Trapped has all the hallmarks of something that was quick paycheck for everyone involved, and it shows as nobody even attempts to raise their game for it.
