6. The Ludicrously Entertaining Musical Numbers

What would a Mamma Mia movie be without some impeccable song and dance routines? They were the bread and butter of the first movie, and this sequel does a fantastic job of one-upping its predecessor with a more elaborate, campy and ridiculous set of musical numbers.

Especially enjoyable is a spirited rendition of "Waterloo" early in the movie and a mind-boggling duet of "Fernando" between Cher and Andy Garcia, but even the "lesser" ABBA songs on display here are still an absolute toe-tapping hoot.

Ol Parker's direction isn't particularly fussy, but he nevertheless does a decent job keeping the set-pieces visually dynamic and, most important of all, fun and energetic.

If you're an ABBA fan and not grinning like an idiot during the movie's many, many songs, there might be something wrong with you.
