5. Are The Chitauri Coming Back?
Given that Thanos is a space dwelling alien overlord type, it should come as no surprise that there's a big suggestion that aliens are going to play a big part in Avengers: Infinity War. That confirmation comes courtesy of Project Casting who put out a notice for alien extras with an intriguing breakdown:
"Aliens: We are now taking submissions to be considered for a fun background role on this upcoming movie. Looking for men and women, all ethnicities, who appear 18 – 50’s, who are TALL with a SLENDER or athletic build. MUST be comfortable being PAINTED (including on your face & any exposed body parts). Also looking for people willing to have prosthetics applied to their face, in addition to being painted. Bumps will be provided for makeup & prosthetic applications."
Could that mean the Chitauri - previously aligned with Thanos courtesy of now-dead underling The Other - are coming with Thanos when he attacks Earth?

Well it would make sense: The Other might be dead, but Thanos didn't sever ties with his army after The Avengers (it was Ronan that killed him, after all). Plus, he needs cannon fodder on the ground, and they're the ultimate expendables in this universe - and it would be pretty terrible for Marvel to again drop in an unannounced alien race into proceedings and expecting us to care about them.
Unless of course they'll be Skrulls, of course...
The only thing potentially standing in the way of it being the Chitauri is the logistics: in The Avengers, the alien race were brought to life via motion capture as opposed to practical effects. But then that might just reflect a different approach by the Russos.
