1. Blue Marvel

Blue Marvel (Adam Brashear) would certainly be a controversial addition to the MCU, given the nature of his back-story, but he'd certainly be a welcome one. A member of the Marine Corps and a veteran of the Korean War, Brashear later became the project lead on a scientific attempt to harness anti-matter through the creation of a "Negative Reactor" which created a bridge between the Negative Zone and the positive matter universe. When the reactor exploded unexpectedly, Brashear and his friend Conner Sims (whom he had met in the Marine Corps) were exposed to mutagenic radiation. While Sims' body turned into energy, Brashear became a stable "antimatter reactor" and developed a set of superhuman abilities including superhuman strength, speed and durability, flight, energy projection and antimatter manipulation. Brashear became the masked hero Blue Marvel. However, when his mask was damaged and he was revealed to be a black man, the then President (this was in the 1960s) John F. Kennedy requested that he retire - the America of those days being too racist to accept a black superhero. After assisting with one final mission (in which he defeated the herald of an alien armada bent on enslaving the Earth), the government used it as an opportunity to fake his death. S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Marlene Frazier would then be sent by the government, under the cover name Candace, to monitor Brashear under the guise of his lover. She became his wife and the mother of their two children and Brashear would later become a professor of physics at the University of Maryland. In modern times (with Brashear not having aged, thanks to his powers), his former friend Conner returned as "Anti-Man" - a villain - which prompted Tony Stark to recruit Blue Marvel in to the Avengers to help to fight him; Now wouldn't that be a great MCU plot? I think so. And there you have it; Ten heroes nobody has thought of adding to the MCU yet (but who would be awesome). Do you agree or disagree? Which other characters fit this criteria?
