Things in Hollywood are slowly starting to return to normal, with productions lining up new start dates and a number of upcoming blockbusters gearing up for big screen releases (which, well, may or may not happen when you look at the way even Christopher Nolan's Tenet has been hit by multiple delays).

Regardless, all that craziness hasn't slowed down the rumour mill, and there are plenty of big Marvel Phase 4 rumours doing the rounds right now. The entire Phase 4 slate has been postponed - and could be pushed back even further if things don't start returning to normal - but there's plenty of chatter to be found about plans for a vast array of characters, big plot twists, and more movies and TV shows.

From the insane sounding premise of the Marvel Studios' planned Deadpool 3 to the unexpected arrival of characters from the world of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, the future of the MCU is starting to take shape, and while it's hard to say how many of these will come true, it's hard not to get excited by them.

These must-see rumours could change this shared world forever if they pan out, and it's becoming clear that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has some bold ideas for where to take things next...

10. The Groundwork Is Being Laid For Doctor Doom

When it came to capitalising on Doctor Doom's Latverian heritage, Fox's Fantastic Four movies completely dropped the ball. It was certainly hinted at, but the villain was ultimately pretty generic, and basically just an American businessman or scientist when all was said and done.

When Victor Von Doom arrives in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the hope is that he will be the dictator of that fictional country, and a report from MCU Cosmic indicates that the groundwork will soon be laid for that. An unspecified Marvel Studios project will reportedly introduce Lucia Von Bardas, a relatively obscure comic book villain who has served as Doom's successor.

Lucia even took the "Doctor Doom" mantle for herself for a time, and Marvel Studios could easily introduce her as a diplomat or something similar in an upcoming movie or TV show to confirm that, yes, Latveria does indeed exist in the MCU.

This would be similar to the way Wakanda was mentioned in Avengers: Age of Ultron before Black Panther showed up in Captain America: Civil War.
