Marvel's Loki TV Series: Everything We Know
1. Tom Hiddleston Might Not ALWAYS Play Loki
This last entry is not a concrete fact, nor something that has officially been confirmed. It's just something that seems highly likely based on everything we know about the show so far.
Here's the exact story synopsis that THR published in their report:
"Sources say the show will follow Loki as the trickster and shape-shifter pops up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events."
The key word there is shape-shifter. Having Loki interfere with human history means that he'll have to make good use of his ability to impersonate other people, as seen in the movies when he pretends to be Captain America and Odin. In the show, he may have to pass himself off as a high-ranking official, a king, a child, or even a woman, in order to pull off whatever scheme he has planned.
This will allow the show to bring in various guest stars to play "Loki", as he appears in his many forms. Imagine if he impersonates Thor in one episode, and Chris Hemsworth comes in for a cameo? This would be a great way to get all sorts of famous faces involved, while going heavy on the fun that the MCU is known for.
Again, this is by no means a definite part of the show - and Hiddleston will absolutely be the main Loki actor - but it's an interesting prospect to consider.
