3. Doom

When Disney were considering the assets they could pick up with a Fox purchase, Victor Von Doom must have been one of the names at the top of the list. He's as iconic a villain as Marvel, after all, and it's about time he got the chance to spread some doom across a wider net.

He was one of the pillars of the "new" supervillain model when he was introduced and like Lex Luthor he has the presence and power to straddle more than one property. In other words, he could be an Avengers villain just as much as he could a Fantastic Four one, and having him operate in the same universe as Tony Stark (in many ways his moral opposite) would be a massive boost (provided Stark is recast or not killed off at least).

He's also been one of the most poorly treated Marvel characters on screen so far (particularly in Josh Trank's reboot), and Marvel Studios would do well to offer a more traditional interpretation that avoids trying too hard to modernise or make him too gritty. Fingers crossed.
