MCU: 10 Big Missed Opportunities

1. Adam Warlock In Infinity War

Much like in the movies, the Infinity Gauntlet comic arc (which Infinity War is based on) ends with an incredible battle between the Avengers and the forces of good against the Mad Titan, Thanos. In the comics however, the good guys aren't being led into battle by Cap or Iron Man, the leader of the pack is Adam Warlock.

Not only is Warlock an incredibly powerful being in the Marvel universe, he has had many dealings with the infinity stones throughout his days. He has had the soul stone embedded in his forehead, lived inside the stone itself, and wielded the gauntlet with all six stones on the way to defeating Thanos.

During one of the many post-credit scenes from Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, Ayesha looks to a birthing pod holding her creation of the perfect Sovereign - Adam. While this is different to the character's origins in the comics, it is similar in that he will emerge from a cocoon as the ideal, perfect specimen.

It will be incredibly intriguing to see what Adam Warlock brings to the Marvel Cinematic Universe when he is finally introduced properly, but it is a shame that he came too late to miss featuring in his most iconic story from the comics.
