MCU: 10 Characters Most Likely To Die (And The Movies They'll Die In)

8. Drax (Guardians Of The Galaxy 3)

Why He's Likely To Die: Mere months ago, Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 was a surefire thing, but now, the situation couldn't be much worse.

The movie will probably happen at some point, but it won't be the same film that James Gunn had been planning, and it could potentially end the stories of several core Guardians, as the franchise changes course and looks to distance itself from the controversy of Gunn's involvement with the series.

But of the whole original team, the one Guardian who has the most question marks over their MCU future is definitely Drax The Destroyer. Though his role as Infinity War's comedic relief wasn't the most beloved, Dave Bautista has made the character an icon, and his popularity ensured that - earlier this year - he had a bright future ahead of him.

But after Gunn was fired as the writer and director of Guardians 3, Bautista began publicly condemning Disney for their decision, speaking out on multiple occasions about how unhappy he was with the whole situation, and how he was reluctant to work for the company again. The actor doesn't seem too enthused about playing Drax without Gunn, and this could lead to his character having a much shorter lifespan.

With the Russo Brothers recently confirming that Gunn's firing didn't change Avengers 4, that isn't the movie where Drax will bow out. If Bautista remains displeased with Disney, killing Drax in Guardians 3 might be the only way he can exit.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
