MCU: 10 Characters Who Could Lead The Avengers Against Kang The Conqueror

As of right now, in the fallout of Avengers: Endgame, there really isn’t an Avengers team to speak of. Wong has some form of relationship with Bruce and Carol, and while these are historically two of the team’s heaviest hitters, this isn’t much of a team.

Phase Four and beyond will bring into the MCU even more teams than ever before. The Eternals, the Marvels, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and potentially even the Young Avengers have or will soon make their MCU debuts, and will likely all come together as one big ensemble to fight Kang the Conqueror.

In this regard, there may not be a traditional Avengers team as there has been in previous movies, but rather a mishmash, for lack of a better term, of other teams. Should this be the case, they will look to someone who is an established leader within one of these teams, and Reed Richards could be this hero.

Kevin Feige has recently hinted that the Fantastic Four movie will not tell an origin story, so Reed will already be a leader, whether he is brought to life by John Krasinski or not. The bottom line is that should something like this happen, a leader like Mister Fantastic would be a choice second to none to take the other, relatively inexperienced teams under his wing.
